Chair: Clarence Gilliam   

The Deacon ministry serves and minister to the congregation and assist the Pastor with the work of the ministry related to the congregational care.   They pray regularly, visit the sick and offer spiritual support to all the membership.  The deacons strive to follow the guidelines laid out in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1 concerning leaders.

The Deaconess Ministry serves closely with the Deacon ministry assisting the needs of the women in the church, along with assisting in visitation, setup Communion table for the Lord’s Supper and preparation for baptism.

The Good Samaritan ministry supports and encourage missionaries and mission programs within the local community and church.  They reach people at their point of need and lead them to a personal relationship with Christ.

COM is a combination of 5 churches working together for the betterment of the community and ongoing missions involvement.  Our church is committed and compassionate in the leading efforts to maintain a comprehensive missions program in the church for outreach.

Oversee the entire music ministry of the church with passion, loyalty, talent and experience.  Music was important in biblical times in much the same way important today and it plays a key role in our worship experience.  Singing hymns and songs of praise, love and adoration to our Lord Our Savior Jesus Christ inspiring the congregation and influence the lost through music.  Our music ministry are lifted voices consist of the following choirs: gospel, youth, men and seniors singing glory to God on high.

The Senior ministry is a group of people that are well seasoned and mature in the service and work of the Lord.  They are faithful and committed to many venues and activities in the life of the church.  It is not a do nothing ministry, they are busy and laboring for the Lord.  They faithfully participate with other churches senior activities and fellowship.

The Usher Ministry is one of the most important ministries in our church, demonstrating hospitality and a welcoming spirit to our visitors and congregations.  Their ministry will offer the first impression of our church membership and worship.  Their service as “Door keepers for the Lord” during Worship consist of literature distribution, assisting needs, vigilant, directing and seating the membership.

Our church is open and friendly with faithful and capable men acting in respect and confidents to keep our church running smoothly, and in a safe environment while we worship God.  They are men that is committed to safety and protection of the life of the people and building.

Church School Superintendent: Victoria Taylor

Church School is our effective way to reach, teach and nurture the people in the Word of God.  Our bible lessons, study materials and programs involves all ages teaching and learning about God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We have a very vibrant church school ministry with active participation.  NEW MEMBERS CLASS: Leader: Brenda Johnson.  Teaching all new comers about the functions of our church along with giving them the plan of salvation for spiritual growth.

Our children ministry is lead by an inspiring, compassionate, dedicated director who influences children to love God through activities, bible studies, and outside community participations.  The activities of the children ministry at time coordinates with our church school programs.  This is a well organized ministry in constructive learning, counseling, spiritual insight, movie time, outreach and snack times.  It is amazing what these little minds can do.

Our youth minister is a good role model, creative, outgoing, and a expressive leader.   He prays for the youth, make them feel accepted and he communicate well with all people.  He minister to and with teens, with a heart for understanding their special needs and interests within the church, community, and self growth. The ministry ultimate task is to build strong relationship to develop minds and hearts to love God and have a personal relationship with Him.

Our transportation ministry safely transport members to and from church worship and visitations. Our drivers are valid driver’s license, dependable, patient, and kind carriers with good driving records.  They enjoy driving and serving the people when picking up and returning them to their prospective locations.  Transportation is available for church school, worship service and other planned activities that requires service.

Director: Mildred Anthony

Our Director is very well organized planner, and overseer of all food and refreshment preparations.  She plans for special church programs and activities, which includes recruiting helpers for setup and cleanup.  The Hospitality ministry purchases all supplies, food  and serves as the coordinator between programs and the Pastor.

Our prayer ministry holds this truth, prayer is available to everyone since the beginning of the world.  Prayer is talking and listening to God.  We promote prayer any time, anywhere, and in any situation.  The Word of God tell us to pray without ceasing.  Pray the prayers of confession, intercession, thanksgiving, praise and petition.  One of the best known of all prayers is the one Jesus taught his disciplines.  Known as “The Lord’s Prayer” which serves as the model for all prayers.

Beautification ministry takes care of decorating and beautifying the church to create environments that complement the current season, service, and special events.   They are faithful to decorate the foyers, bathrooms and sanctuary on a regular basis.  They take care of flower arrangements as needed. Our church is beautiful.  HISTORIAN: keeps accurate records and photos of church events and milestones and organizing the information to preserve a historical library of the church’s heritage and accomplishments.

Leader: Ron Robinson    

Our leader coordinates all efforts for effective sound and upgrades to our media.  Arrive prior to worship services to double check and set up equipment.  DVD recording: David Perry operate recording device to record messages and programs.  Label each DVD with content and date.

Chair: Thomas Ragsdale

The Trustees must be of trustworthy and honesty and willing to help ensure ethical handling of all church funds and property.  Establish and review procedures for the church’s financial management.  Fulfill the laws of this state while serving as Trustee of the church.  Execute bank notes, deeds and other legal documents after receiving approval from church body.  Represent the church in all legal matters.  Monitor financial expenditures of the church.  Trustee stewardship must oversee contracts for work to improve and repair church buildings and property, serving as legal custodians of all church property.

Finance team is made of Treasurer, Financial Secretary and Financial Administrative Assistant.  Must be a good steward, trustworthy and honest.  Help ensure ethical handling of all church funds and oversee management of church banking accounts.  Sign checks, review monthly statements for reconciliation, schedule audits and provide budget reports.  Work and reports to Trustee Ministry.

Clerk-Mattie Hendrick

The church clerk provides clerical assistances and maintains minutes and reports of all church meeting, membership,  announcements, bereavement letters and incoming and outgoing correspondences.

The nursery ministry is a safe environment with responsible spiritual teachers who works well with the community and the church.
